Rose Gold and Gold Birthday Dinner

Gold and Rose Gold Birthday Tablescape

A few weeks ago I wanted to do a little something to celebrate the Birthday of a very good friend of mine. It was an intimate gathering that was very casual, but of course its still a celebration, so I felt like sequins and champagne were in order. A few friends came by for dinner, to celebrate our lovely Birthday lady including their adorable 8 month old son, joining us at the table but unfortunately not quite old enough for a piece of birthday cake. The table had no shortage of sparkle with this amazing rose gold almost copper table cloth: 60”*102” Rectangle Sparkly Rose Gold Sequin Glamorous Cloth/fabric for Wedding/dessert Table. The table was also flourished with some simple tealights that I found at goodwill and geometric lanterns.

If your looking for your own geometric lanterns here are ones on Amazon HOMEIDEAS Modern Clear Glass Pyramid Tabletop Geometric Polyhedron Terrarium Box,Decorative Succulent Plants Holder 4.3 x 4.3 x 8.3 Inches(Golden). Do you recognize these colorful napkins? I used them in my boho party as well, check out that post for the fabric I used to make these, they add a more fun and casual vibe with all the beautiful colors.  Gold chargers from Homegoods, gently used flatware from Ebay, and DIY napkin rings add another dimension of metallic accents to this tablescape. Lastly some beautiful pink roses add an organic element while tying in the pretty pink from the napkins. Sometimes all you need are a few elements to make a table feel a little extra special.  The dinner was simple and easy to prepare, and had help from another friend of mine. Ladies chatted in the kitchen prepping while the guys hung on the patio with the pups. Dinner consisted of some marinated grilled chicken and asparagus with a lemon dill orzo salad with peppers, onions, and squash to make the meal. The most important part was of course desert, a small cake I made that morning with a creamy chocolate buttercream frosting over yellow butter cake. Its my favorite combo just the right combination of a lighter cake with a deeper chocolate frosting, the perfect way to end the night. I hope this champagne celebration gives you some ideas in celebrating someone near and dear to you.
