Peter Rabbit Inspired First Birthday, Table Decorations

This Peter Rabbit Party is the perfect baby shower theme and boy first birthday theme. This would be even more perfect for a spring birthday or spring baby on the way. Check us out on how you can do your own Peter Rabbit party decorations and birthday ideas.

Spring is officially here and I could not be more excited. After days of white snow and lifeless trees, seeing some spring inspiration, promising gardening and green is just what I like to see. If you are a fan of felt made into baby name banners, wall art, and custom felt ornaments you may have come across Wool and Petal , handmade items my the mother of this adorable little boy who we are celebrating, and even made a few unique felt veggie banners.  This very first birthday has such a lovely spring Peter Rabbit inspired theme, that I also think would work well for a baby shower. I wanted to share with you today some of the easy table touches that relayed the theme.

I love these Peter Rabbit prints that was used above the tables. Michaels craft store often has great frame sales, where these were purchased for about $12 for an 18×24″ frame. I then bought these instant download prints from SimplyPStationary on Etsy and had them printed for about $3 each at staples as a color engineer print instead of a more expensive poster print. In order to hang them without damaging the window frame I often use frame command strips, as the perfect solution for temporary party decorations.

Blue gingham table clothes were made out of inexpensive fabric for the tables, but you can buy something similar on Amazon here Jennice House 100% Cotton Gingham Tablecloths- 55X79 Inch Rectangular Tablecloth (55″X79″, Blue). There were various garden style touches, like the galvanized utensil holder purchased at TJMaxx and wooden picket garden plant holder from Joss and Main that held napkins. Wooden crate style boxes were also purchased from Joss and Main but can easily be bought at places like Michaels crafts or Homegoods, maybe even goodwill. These boxes gave the table interest with varied height. Instead of flowers carrots in some dollar store vases are an inexpensive and colorful alternative that fit perfectly with this bunny theme.

A buffet of room temperature and cold items makes a perfect no fuss make ahead menu. Different styles of chicken salad with rolls and croissant allow guests to make their own sandwiches or eat separately. Cold orzo salad, veggie and fruit salads pulls the rest of the menu together.  A few inexpensive cardboard bunnies, this gold one balloon from Amazon one Balloon Banner – Light Gold Celebration Balloon – 30 Inches Long, and displayed Peter Rabbit Book brings this serving table, more then just a place to fill your plate. More to come on the details of this Peter Rabbit themed first birthday, like the no rabbits allowed sign,  just perfect for the upcoming warmer months.
