Fall Colored Tablescape

Fall Colored Tablescape

Here in New England the colors are in full swing as dark red, orange and bright yellow leaves fall delicately to the ground. Although I dread it getting colder, looking down roads lined with a multitude of vibrant colors makes me appreciate the coziness of fall.  When creating the tablescape for this large, casual family dinner I decided to incorporate all the beautiful colors.  By adding two kinds of branches from the yard, not only being free but made the table almost have a foliage runner effect.

The small squash that look like pumpkins were bought inexpensively from a local farm stand and adding some battery copper string lights tied the copper colored mercury glass candlestick holders. You can find these fairy string lights on Amazon here String Lights, Oak Leaf 2 Set of Micro 30 LEDs Super Bright Warm White Led Rope Lights Battery Operated on 9.8 Ft Long Ultra Thin String Copper For Home Bedroom Party and many other local retailers while the candlesticks were purchased half off at Michaels for the end of the season sale. Adding flowers is always a nice with varied height to this centerpiece tying in the red and other colors, held in low ball style, gold speckled glasses being sure not to obstruct guests from talking across the table. Lastly, I want to mention the linens if your looking to create this for your own gathering. The tablecloth was one my mother had with dainty little red apples making the table feel a little more casual and very appropriate for fall with darker red napkins. You could of course use a more neutral colored napkins if you have them but the red adds a pop and works well for the holidays as well. Napkins like this can be purchased inexpensively on Amazon Cotton Craft Napkins, 12 Pack Oversized Dinner Napkins 20×20 Teal, 100% Cotton, Tailored with Mitered corners and a generous hem, Napkins are 38% larger than standard size napkins. I hope this gives you another idea for a fall inspired table as Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
